This study examines the implementation of human resource management (HRM) within the Tahfidz Al-Qur’an program at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda, a school known for its distinctive model in which students devote the first three months of the academic year to Qur’anic memorization. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through interviews, document analysis, and classroom observations. The findings reveal that the program’s effectiveness is supported by strategic HR planning, character-based recruitment, ongoing training in collaboration with the SIMAQ Institute, and performance evaluations that emphasize both professional growth and spiritual development. Motivation and teacher retention are fostered through a balance of material incentives and intrinsic religious purpose, reinforced by a strong institutional culture grounded in Islamic values. This research offers a practical HRM model for Islamic schools seeking to integrate pedagogical professionalism with spiritual integrity in their management practices.
